Most people don’t know their face shape — and they don’t need to obsess over it. One rule does most of the work: opposites attract. Angular frames bring structure to a round face; rounded frames soften an angular one. Here’s how to read your own face and pick from there.

Find your shape in the mirror

Pull your hair back and look straight into a mirror. Notice two things: is your face longer than it is wide, or about equal? And what’s widest — your forehead, your cheekbones or your jaw? That’s enough to place yourself.

Round face

Soft curves, roughly as wide as it is long. Add definition with angular, rectangular frames — our Himalayan 102 and 104 are ideal.

Square face

Strong jaw, broad forehead, defined lines. Soften them with rounder, curved shapes — the aviator 103 or the round panto 202.

Heart-shaped face

Wider forehead narrowing to the chin. Frames that don’t widen the top work best — aviators and softer, bottom-rounded shapes like the 103 and 204.

Oval face

Balanced and slightly longer than wide — the lucky shape that suits almost anything. Wear what you love; our signature double-bridge models are a safe favourite.

Frequently asked questions

What if my face is a mix of shapes? Most are. Go for a versatile, balanced frame — an aviator or our double-bridge models flatter nearly everyone.

How do I know my face shape without measuring? Pull your hair back, look straight in the mirror, and note whether your face is longer than wide and what’s widest: forehead, cheekbones or jaw.

Does frame size matter too? Yes — see our size guide for choosing Medium or Large.
