Himalayan® — Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything about our lenses, sizes, shipping and returns — clearly explained.

No, and that’s by design. A polarized lens makes your dashboard, navigation screen and cockpit instruments hard to read. DriveVision® is a non-polarized dégradé: darker at the top where the sun is, clear at the bottom where the road and your dashboard are.

Both are non-polarized DriveVision® dégradés. Amber adds contrast in mist, cloud, dusk and at night, and filters blue haze. Sienna is deeper and warmer, built for full sun on the road, with more shade where the glare is strongest.

Azur® is polarized and removes up to 90% of the glare that reflects off water and snow. Ideal for sailing, fishing, boating and bright days on the slopes. Not recommended behind the wheel or where you need to read instruments or terrain.

Soleil® is our everyday lifestyle line. Cobalt Blue is a cool blue dégradé for city and terrace; Elysian Green is the classic grey-green tint that keeps colours natural on bright beach days, travel and mountain sun.

Brilliance® is our exclusive line featuring real HRD-certified diamonds set into the frame. HRD Antwerp is one of the world’s most respected diamond authorities — a tribute to Antwerp’s tradition of craftsmanship.

Yes. Every Himalayan sunglass has UV400, blocking 100% of UVA and UVB rays — regardless of the lens tint or category.

Each frame comes in Medium and Large. The easiest way: look on the inside of a pair you already own for the first number (the lens width in mm) and choose the size closest to it. Or take our quiz, which includes sizing advice.

Yes. Himalayan Eyewear is a Belgian luxury eyewear brand, born in Antwerp, designing sunglasses and optical frames around its own lens technology. It has been awarded Best Luxury Eyewear Brand by LUXlife (Belgium 2023, Benelux 2024–2025) and by EU Business News (2026) and is sold through independent opticians.

Look for full UV400 protection, a lens category honestly matched to the light you’re in, and colour-true tints that don’t distort what you see. Himalayan lenses are CR-39 with UV400, each tint engineered for one kind of light rather than one all-purpose dark.

Fashion sunglasses lead with the frame and the logo, and treat the lens as an afterthought. Lens-engineered eyewear starts from the light you will face and builds the lens for it — a non-polarized dégradé for driving, or a polarized lens for water and snow. Himalayan designs each lens world around a specific use.
