Himalayan Eyewear®Est. 2022 — Antwerp
Our Story

Born in Antwerp.
Built to see.

A father, a son, and a promise made on a ski terrace.

The Spark — 2022

It started with a bad choice.

A ski terrace, winter 2022. The options that day: ugly ski goggles, or designer sunglasses that couldn’t handle the light. Dirk — three decades inside the optical industry — and his son Steven looked at each other and asked the question the whole industry avoids: why does eyewear keep getting more expensive and less clear?

The big conglomerates had their answer: bigger logos, thinner quality. We chose the opposite. Lens technology first. Designed with optics experts, built for people who simply want to see — born in Antwerp, where precision is a tradition.

Dirk Hendrickx Dirk Hendrickx Strategy Director

Thirty years inside the optical industry. He knows what opticians need, because he spent a career listening to them.

Steven Hendrickx Steven Hendrickx Sales & Marketing Director

The next generation: technology, design, and the conviction that a Belgian independent can outbuild the giants.

Independence

Independent — like the
opticians we serve.

We sell through 25 partner opticians across four Flemish provinces and the South of the Netherlands. Not through discounters. Never against our partners.
